Terms of Service

By clicking "I Agree" or creating an account, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Chipi is a SaaS platform for rental property management, including property listings, tenancy management, rent tracking, maintenance requests, and a Tenant Portal for renters.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• If you register on behalf of a company or agency, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Subscription & Payment

• Fees are billed monthly or annually based on your selected plan.
• Plans renew automatically. Cancel at least 7 days before renewal to avoid the next charge.
• Fees paid are non-refundable, except where Chipi terminates the Service without cause.
• Chipi will give 30 days' notice before any fee changes. You may cancel without penalty if you disagree.

4. Your Data

• You retain full ownership of your data.
• Chipi processes your data only to operate the Service.
• You may export your data at any time from within the platform.
• If you manage tenants through Chipi, you are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process their personal information.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
• Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorised access to other accounts
• Share credentials with unauthorised parties
• Publish false or misleading property listings
• Discriminate against tenants unlawfully
• Reverse engineer or copy the platform

6. Limitation of Liability

Chipi's total liability is capped at fees paid in the preceding 6 months. Chipi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including disputes between landlords and tenants.

7. Termination

• You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Chipi may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
• On termination, your data is retained for 30 days for export, then securely deleted.

8. Changes to These Terms

Chipi will give 14 days' notice of material changes via your registered email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. For users in Vietnam, mandatory provisions of Vietnamese law (including the Law on Electronic Transactions 2023 and Decree 13/2023/ND-CP) also apply.
